Collins on the American BJK Cup team
“I think we have a very relaxed group.
I think everyone is very happy to be here and grateful for the opportunity. We have some really successful, high-ranking players on the team, but I feel like all of us are very selfless and just want the team to do well and do whatever it takes to make the team at its best.
To be really honest, I think, no, I think we’ve been really lucky in that regard, because I think they’re all such good team players,” Collins said. In addition, Collins admitted that being part of such a strong group helps ease the Pressure.
“Yeah, it’s really nice to be part of a group like this, because you feel the support all the time and, you know, I know I was thinking about my matches. It almost took some of the pressure off of me today knowing that Maddie was going to play after me, and then we had the doubles as well, because we have such strong players on the team that can take us forward.
I think it gives us a lot of confidence when we are all so strong,” added Collins. The next step for Collins and company will be the Czech Republic.
