the third part of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean is hitting Netflix in December 1, but luckily for us, the global streamer treated us to the first two episodes in an exclusive preview in early November in Japan, and boy are viewers in for such a weird ride.
Warning: Discussions of scenes in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean Part 3.
JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean Part 2 It concluded with some mysteries revealed, along with protagonist Jolyne Cujoh still in prison but more determined than ever, even as audiences witnessed the antagonist’s growth in power. In Part. 3we finally see her out of prison, well technically, escaped from prison, with an even stronger thirst to thwart Father Pucci’s evil plans.
See, Jolyne has accomplished her mission to retrieve Jotaro Kujo’s Star Platinum Disc and Memory Disc, thereby saving her father’s withering life, but in standard JoJo fashion, the forces of good don’t stop once they’ve completed its original objective. When there is evil in the world, it must be stopped, so Jolyne will stop at nothing to stop Pucci, with the help of Ermes Costello and Emporio Alnino.
Part 2 saw Jolyne lose many friends and allies, but it seems that Ermes and Emporio have remained loyal friends and allies. It remains to be seen if that will be enough and if viewers will see more characters join the fray, but one thing is for sure, Pucci is still on a path of destruction in the third part of the hit anime series, based on the long-running . manga of the same name.
Having heard that Jolyne has escaped, the villain rushes to strengthen his powers. After all, he’s declared a war, so he’ll need as many followers as he can, and Jolyne and Pucci aren’t all we see in the first few episodes.
Part 2 of the JoJo series was packed with battles and some of the weirdest Stands on the show and Part Three intends to continue that. In the first two episodes, viewers will meet Anasui and Weather once again, and their journeys get a little weird and weird when characters from children’s books start trying to help them and become friends.
Some of these children’s book characters include the likes of Pinocchio, Snow White, the Seven Dwarfs, and the Big Bad Wolf, to name a few, and they will try to draw Anasui and Weather into a “story” that, as the episode later reveals, , it may not necessarily end in a happily ever after. Oh, and they look weird too.
In true JoJo fashion, these well-known children’s book characters have unique looks, so it’s definitely not the cute Pinocchio you’ve seen on Disney as a kid, or in any other way you can imagine. And when they realize that their plan to lure and manipulate Anasui and Weather isn’t working, things quickly take a violent turn.
It doesn’t take long for the characters, and the viewers, to realize that they are dealing with someone’s Stands, so a fight ensues. Viewers will only know who the user is towards the end of the episode, but the ride to the reveal was fun, spooky, and death-defying, and we like it that way!
So far, the first few episodes are preparing viewers for the eventual battle between Jolyne and Pucci, though it looks like that will only happen towards the end of the season. This is because much of the first two episodes focus more on Anasui and Weather, rather than Jolyne herself.
Of course, we won’t spoil this for you further, but if Part Two already had you on the edge of your seat, then you’re ready for a ride in Part Three when JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean Part 3 premieres December 1 on Netflix.
Don’t judge a book by its cover, because behind all this makeup, there is a geek like you. Simply put, superheroes, Star Wars, Harry Potter, and all things bloody and creepy make this girl swoon.
