New update points towards a Steam and Epic release for Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition

After our report last month showing evidence that Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitivee Edition will be available on Steam soon, Rockstar Games has released a new update to their launcher to support this. Despite being exclusive to PC through the Rockstar Game Launcher Since its initial release over a year ago, players will be able to get the remastered trilogy on two new platforms of their choice, Steam and the Epic Games Store.

The Rockstar Launcher received an update today showing Epic Games Store support for three pack names, “gta3unreal”, “gtavsunreal” and “gtasaunreal”. Unreal is the engine these remasters run on. The Steam IDs for all three with their full and proper names were also listed in the Steam section.


Last hope?

The hope within the community is that a major update to fix bugs and fix bugs with Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitivee Edition will come alongside the release of the set on Steam and the Epic Games Store. It would make sense that Rockstar, which has taken over the development of the project, would like to make a better impression, since the game will be available for purchase in more storefronts.
