A SMART WhatsApp tip can help you quickly free up storage on your phone, and you don’t have to delete messages.
Going through messages and deleting all the things you no longer need is an overwhelmingly boring task.

But there is a nifty solution and it takes a few seconds to complete.
WhatsApp users can delete all messages, photos, videos, GIFs, contacts, locations, voice messages, documents, and stickers from each chat.
They can choose what they want to keep and what they want to get rid of.
For iOS and Android users the process is the same:

Settings > Storage & data > Manage storage > Select contact > Manage > Select
Then check the appropriate boxes next to what you want to delete.
Tap on the trash can and they are gone.
You can also sort the files that are taking up the most space, either newest or oldest, by touching the circle in the lower left corner after touching the contact.
Users can also see which files are larger than 5MB and which files have been forwarded multiple times.
Again, the process is the same for iOS and Android users.
Settings > Storage & data > Manage storage.
In the Review and delete items section, you can click the Over 5MB tab or the Forwarded tab multiple times and then select the ones you want to delete.
They can also be sorted by tapping on the circle in the bottom left corner.
