Cancellation of strong fog forces at the aqueduct after race 5

The New York Racing Association, Inc. (NYRA) canceled the remaining four races on Saturday’s nine-race card after Race 5 due to heavy fog that has settled in the New York City area, creates visibility problems at Aqueduct Racetrack.

In accordance with New York State Gaming Commission rules, today’s Pick 6 wagering pool, which had a carryover of $22,611, will be refunded. The bet and the remainder will return on Sunday, January 1 with a mandatory payment. Sunday’s Pick 6 will start in Race 4 with a post time of 1:47pm

Saturday’s featured event, the $150,000 Queens County, will return on Saturday, January 7.

Aqueduct Racetrack will remain open for simulcast and online wagering is available through www.NYRABets.com.
