Canisteo police arrested a Hornell man who broke into a residence earlier this week.
According to police, 24-year-old Travis Carlton broke into a residence on East Main Street on Thursday, December 29.
He is charged with taking money from the residence after trespassing.
He was found and charged with second degree robbery.
The charges will be answered at a later date.
