Impressive output of the bowlers followed by the pattern by Rohit Sharma blitzkrieg, led India to an eight wicket clinical victory against New Zealand. With this, the hosts take an unassailable lead in the ongoing ODI series.
Laser show to close a great day for fans
Marking the celebration of the India team’s resounding victory over New Zealand, the stadium put on a dazzling multi-colored light laser show, followed by music that made all the fans inside the stadium go wild.

The Indian bowlers were sensational in their outing after Indian skipper Rohit Sharma opted to bowl against New Zealand. LEd by Mohammed Shami, the bowlers were accurate in their bowling, pulling off good swing, spin, rebounding and accurate return catches to defeat New Zealand by just a paltry 108. Rohit then crushed 51 of 50 balls and led the way for the total. to be chased in 20.1 overs with India with eight wickets in hand.
The New Zealand bowlers, except for Lockie Ferguson, were unable to extract the same amount of movement that the Indian bowlers were able to do in the first ten overs. That allowed Rohit and Gill to fly with ease and helped the team to a commanding victory. This also means that the Black Caps have lost their first ODI place to the Men In Blue after this heavy loss.
The India team will now take on the Kiwis at the Holkar Stadium in Indore on Tuesday to end the series with a shutout.
